Undyne tried the whole "you guys are just being used" thing but Sloth didn't really seem to care. Maybe Sans can get through to him better. We'll do our best! Can we tell the others that much, too? If doors like the one Sans found Sloth behind keep showing up, someone else might find one of the sin guys and we should have a plan.

[ ah... the hostages. rhys thinks of fiona for a moment and bites his lip, knowing that whatever they do it's going to be important in keeping her safe. that's actually... a ridiculous amount of pressure he's not totally okay with, ahahaha... welp. ]

Not in the same way, necessarily. The hostages are collateral for Katerina, so far as I know.

But I would caution against assuming that just because they're Katerina's project that they're safe from the demons. Considering how these creatures work, I have no doubts that they'd be happy to take more, to be blunt.
[Not that she'd ever be stupid enough to assume Light was safe as long as he's anywhere even tangential to here, but it's good to have a reminder keeping her grounded when she's so antsy knowing he's in danger and she can't do anything.]
