Even if he'd escaped and secured a seat among the seven "survivors", it's clearer now than ever that their hunches were right and things would never be that easy.
So if Break is alive right now because of Rhys, he owes Rhys a lot, too.
That said, since he's still reserving his energy, he only writes: Understood.
He trusts that Break is telling the truth about the rest of that. A promise isn't even needed.]
