week 5 - sunday night
[ since we're all thirsty and can't actually wait until the week starts lbr ]
[ But it's probably Sunday night that Break will come visit Rhys for once. After resting for the week, he's definitely feeling better, so coming to call instead of being called on is definitely his preference here. He knocks lightly on the door, but as soon as it's opened, a Hyperion Yellow scarf is tossed over Rhys's shoulders and then tied in a knot. Of course he couldn't start this out normally. ]
And there you are~. Hopefully it's as yellow as you were hoping.
[ He waves a hand at Rhys. ]
May I come in~?

which means when the door opens and break throws the scarf over his neck, he just sort of squints at him for a moment before looking down at the scarf. break also may be able to tell that rhys is a bit more warm than he should be but, ya know. ]
Huh. That's pretty yellow, thanks.
[ and then there's a moment of hesitation before rhys takes a step back and lets break inside his room.
now, rhys' room is still fairly clean but the bed closest to the door is definitely bent at a weird angle. rhys definitely tried to move it during paranoia week to barricade his door but then got tired and sort of just left it there halfway. that sure did happen. he sleeps on the bed near the window, which is the one that's unmade and where he was tucked in just a few moments ago. the blankets from the spare bed are also stripped down and piled on his main bed too. ]
Uhm, mind the bed... I've been meaning to fix that but. Yeah.
[ shrrrruugs? ]

Hmm~? Trying for a little redecorating?
[ But he's just idly teasing, since once he finds the edge of that askew bed, he takes a seat on it. Break shifts so that he holds the cane across his laugh, but after his teasing, he gets to his point. Despite his odd personality, Break is definitely to the point when he needs to be, at least. ]
You thought it was Lucy rather quickly, didn't you? Ah, but I'm asking because I thought the same, mind you. It's a bit of pessimism I thought wouldn't be appreciated.

he flops down rather heavily and sniffs, rubbing at his stuffy nose with his flesh hand and not quite realizing he's doing it. ]
Well, yeah. It wasn't you or Gilbert, the only ones with actual vendettas against Cheshire and once that suspect list went up, it was pretty obvious. [ he even starts listing them off one by one with the fingers on his robot hand. ] Clover, wouldn't kill someone this early in the game and she wouldn't pick Cheshire. Probably like, me instead. She's super emotional. Bill, chaotic but weird, probably thinks like us but enjoying himself too much to do something right now. I don't really know what his deal is but if Lucy wasn't there, yeah. He'd be likely, even though I think anything involving him would have more blood. Inaba, wouldn't kill Cheshire. Probably like Lucy or Clover. Too smart to leave something of hers at the scene though. Satori, also too smart and would've picked a different victim too. I could see her framing someone but this was all so sloppy that it just kind of screamed "botched job".
[ which means then yeah, all the physical evidence pointed to lucy. ]
I figured Cheshire tried to kill her at first and then she just defended herself. Didn't really know how it went down but it was obvious that was why she was up there. Why else would she be up there? Lucy wouldn't have killed anyone if it wasn't out of self-defense. She's a kid but she's not a kid like Buddy.

That was my thought as well. I'm actually surprised that neither Gilbert or I were suspects, but it's for the better. Explaining to people that Chains like that cat are dangerous would have been an uphill battle if we were suspects. Defending my unwillingness to change the past was bad enough.
[ And he had just straight up lost his temper, but. He won't mention that part... ]
It's a shame, though. She was a kind young lady. I would have preferred any of the rest, but ah, well. That makes me callous, hence coming to call.
[ He shrugs ]
It's about time the children realized the sort of game they were playing in.
